hello again could someone post a pic of where I can tap into the water jacket to put a (not sure what you call it).maybe a tell-tale!!
I call it pisser....

Here is one on a 1978 25hp I would think it would be easy enough to add one on your engine that way when you see the telltale you know the water is almost going out anyway and your not robbing water from the exhaust cover. If you put it in the water jacket it will reduce pressure into the exhaust cover. I added one to a 50hp merc once just keep the drill coated with grease to catch the shavings the same with your tap and just tap it deep enough to catch about three threads so the 90 degree fitting fits nice and snug and use loctite on the threads.
