"i am trying to troubleshoot my shifting problem on my motor. i am using a fluke meter set on 12volts dc. i have check my wiring from the push botton station to the back of the motor at the connecting clips.if i disconnect the wires at the motor connecting clips i get if i am in netural 12 volts on the green wire if i go to forward there is no power on either wire. if i go to reverse i have 12 volts on both wires. this tells me i am good from the clips back to the push botton station. ok when i hook the clips up to the foot wiring and apply 12 volts when i check i do not have any voltage at all on either wire on matter what position i am in neutral, forward, reverse. i have ohm the coils from ground and get 6 ohms on each coil. please help!!!!!"

Is your battery fully charged?

Is your battery fully charged? What problems are you having? For it to shift the motor has to be running and the L/U filled with premium or type "C" oil made for electric shifts.

Problem corrected. I was getting a voltage drop below 12 volts and it was not enough to make the coils work. Meter was showing 12 volts go figure.
When i applied 12 volts from my battery directly to the coils from the clips it worked and then i just when back to the 12 volt supply from the key switch and found the problem was a bad connection on the 12 volt supply to the selector switch. thanks
