Hey guys any advice would be sorely appreciated. I recently experienced a melt down, engine was running really well.. shut er down and an hour later keyed her back on only to get the worst Shaking and chugging horrible sound out of it. Popped the Valve cover off the offending side and fished two bent push rods out. Borescoped the valves (which looked ok) and other sides rods (which all looked in place), pulled the plugs which had several gaps mashed and replaced them only to fire er up with the very same horrible chug and shake.???
I recently converted to pertronix which have worked well up until now. It appears I am getting good voltage to each cylinder...is it possible the coil or ballast would throw intermittent current to make the engine sputter and chug like its only firing on a few cylinders?
