"I have a 1972 18hp evinrude tiller and it runs fine, but when trolling above idle speed I can't release the throttle on tiller or it will drop back to idle. I have looked over the engine and can't see a tension screw or nut anywhere that would allow me to tighten the throttle so it will hold the speed I set it at. Any help would be greatly appreciated as muskie season is here and I need to be able to hold a 4-4.5 mph troll even if I have to let the throttle go for a minute.I am almost ready to drill and tap a screw into the arm and snug it up against the throttle linkage to give me the resistance needed to hold speed."
