I have a Johnson 100ESL72R with hydro electro shift. I believe it is stuck in gear because I cannot get the starter to engage. I read in the owners manual there is a safety feature that prevents the engine from starting while in gear. How do I bypass this switch or change the gear to neutral. There doesn't appear to be any linkage for shifting. Thanks in advance for any help!

The shifting is done by oil pressure !---This pressure comes from an oil pump in the lower unit.-----This pressure is only there when the motor is running.-----------It will always be in forward when the motor is not running !-
