71 100 HPevinrude starts, heats up, linkage won't move

3/31/2019 Flywheel gets hot after 15 minutes and linkage wont move to restart; changed impeller and thermostats

Flywheels do get warm from magnetic flux as part of recharging the battery.----Remove flywheel and all the ignition bits to check why timer base sticks.

Where is the " shifting linkage " on this motor.-----Or are you having issues with the control box at the helm ??

It's not the timer base; it's the linkage on the side of the motor
