We have just purchased a 70hp 1986 johnson motor that has a separate oil system from the gas and some kind of a warning system with it. The warning system keeps beeping (buzzing) but not a steady buzz. It buzzes as soon as we get the motor started up and the faster we go the faster the buzzes happen. Again, it is not a steady BUZZZZ, it goes buzz, buzz, buzz - drives a person foolish actually. We are told it has something to do with it not getting enough gas? Is this correct or is it not getting oil - WHAT DO WE DO? The boat did not come with a manual for it or the motor. Hoping someone out there can help us figure this out.
