70hp evinrude won't throttle up

I have a 70 hp evinrude runs and idle good but when you throttle up it dies any ideals what is wrong

E70elcsa 1980 70hp Evinrude..... If you have good compression to all three cylinders and spark that will jump a 7/16" air gap.... the most likely problem is that the carburetors require cleaning.
