"Evinrude 70hp Model #E70TLEDR

"Evinrude 70hp Model #E70TLEDR runs fine until full throttle then acts as if it wants to come apart. When I let off the throttle just a little bit, it runs smooth. Idle is great, if this is a needle valve adjustment...how do I set it correctly at full throttle?

I do not think you will find a

I do not think you will find any adjustments on carburetors----they are fixed jets high and low speed.---Compression test is the first thing you do. You can put a timing light on each cylinder to see / verify spark behaviour at full throttle. -----Have you drained / checked lower unit oil??

"5000rpm's and over is when it starts this, back off the throttle just a tad and it runs smoothly with anything under 5000rpm's. My first thought was the throttle plates opening too far, but at full throttle they are all horizontal.

Any suggestions?"
