70hp 2-Stroke Temp Sensor Timing Fix

if you have tried to replace the two wire cylinder head temp sensor you soon learn that Johnson discontinued production on that and we must use the single wire sensor. This disables the cold start timing advance and requires that the cold start timing advance (White/Black) wire be connected to engine ground ensuring that the normal engine temp timing is correct.

This also makes the engine very poor at cold starting. I got fed up with this issue and implemented this simple work-around.

Get another tilt relay and connect it as shown in the sketch.

This will advance the timing for cold starting while the key is pushed in for choke/fuel prime, and when started, it returns the timing to normal. IT WORKS VERY WELL!
