Hello, I got this free boat with 65hp merc on it. I get it fired up. Take it to the lake,it gets stuck in reverse backing off trailer.I drop lower unit,replace shift cam and all seals,lower shift shaft worn but N/A. I'm hooking up cables,shift into reverse and BAM,I'm stuck in reverse again. I drop L.U. again,got cam back in place.Back to the cables,I'm working the shifter and I see that the shift cable continues to travel about 1/2in when throttle kicks in,forward shift about 1/4in. I'm checking cables,they don't match. I had spare cam plates and matching cables swapped the parts out. Still have same issue but reverse shift is
about 1/4in now.
