70 Hp Johnson 1998 No Spark

I have a 1998 Johnson 70 hp that I parked a few months ago and now it won't start. It has no spark at the plugs. I know these motors are notorius for having bad power packs. How can I rule out the saftey switch and other things before purchasing the power pack. I have checked all of the coils and they ohm correctly. Is there a way to test the power pack to make sure it is bad? I have searched for a wiring diagram as well and have not been successful for finding the later model diagrams. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree it likely is the powerpack.----Install a new one.-----If it is not then you will have a good spare part.

I would definitely check the stop switch .... disconnect it and insulate the wires... before parting with a shed load of beer tokens for a new powerpack

There is a wiring diagram in the manual for 1990-2001 2-70hp on the boatinfo site but it is useless

I see no place to unhook the stop switch with out unplugging other wires.

It is with a group of wires in a plug that goes to the power pack. 4 other wires.
