I have a 1993 70hp force engin
I have a 1993 70hp force engine that I just rebuilt because it had a knock. I started it up after the rebuild and it still knocks. I know everything is right on the power head. When a listen to the power head I hear a knock but when I listen at next to the lower unit I hear it just as clear. could it be my lower unit? I heard something about if one of my cylinders is sparking at a incorrect time it could cause the piston to knock. is that true and if so what could I check and what could fix it. I have electronic timing so how could it be off? I checked my flywheel marks at TDC. what else is there?
