73' Mercury 7.5HP with Mercarb (type B in SELOC manual). Motor would not run WOT without pulling the choke out just a bit. Have performed multiple carb rebuilds and no air leaks in gas lines etc. New Points, wiring etc have also been recently done. Carb came with a .034 high speed jet, although for the year i think it 'should' be the .035 per SELOC manual and my elevation, oh well.
Rather than ream it out a bit, I changed the high speed jet to .045 to see what would happen. All works fine. Is there any downside in doing that?
