7.5 Mercury Thunderbold Cowl Removal

I have a Mercury Thunderbolt outboard motor. The normal lever to push down to remove the cowl will not move. I need to remove the cowl to tune on this engine and get it up and running. Simply then... How do I get the cowl off?

Awsome! Thank you so much. I found them... They were very well hidden. I was going off another web page that said to push down on the lever under the upper handle. Finally found that "Lever" is just a cover plate on my engine. Got a little damage to that piece trying. Thanks again.
