Hello,
I'm having issues my engine where it isn't pulling fuel from the tank. It will run if I keep manually pumping fuel into the line, but it will not start to vaccum the fuel on it's own once running. Any help would be great.

I'm not sure the model number. The only numbers I see is the serial number, and the engine size number. I'm new to outboard motors, I work on diesel engines so I'm fairly mechanical, but I'm a bit stumped on this. So it was originally a two line system. When it started having the problem I found a thread that said the tanks go bad after a while and they can be a pain to fix, or you can't find the parts anymore. They recommended switching it to the 1 line system with the fuel pump. I did that, but it's still having the same issue. As long as I manually squeeze the ball and force fuel in it will run, but it won't draw fuel on its own.
 
How did you do the switch to a fuel pump ?----Explain in detail.----Sounds like you missed getting a PRESSURE pulse to the pump.
 
Took the motor into a local good old boy that works on them. I bought the motor used and he thinks someone messed with the dials and had the motor out of whack. Took him 3 min of resetting the idle dials and it's purring like a kitten.
