6o hp johson no top end

Has no top end after running for about 15 min. There was a alarm that came on. But could not figure out what it was. Water pump spraying a good stream. Got back to house and it cranked and ran fine. It seems to have a miss but not sure. Plugs look good. I cleaned the carburators not long ago. Would like help figuring out the problem.

Not all 60 HP Johnsons are the same ---you need to inform / post with the model #-----------There are about 5 or 6 variations of a 60 HP Johnson over a 30 year production period.
