My new old motor isin't ru

My new old motor isin't running well. It idles roughly and won't speed up unless I pull out the choke. modle# 6903M E01200.

"If it runs when playing the choke but not without its a pretty good indication that the carb needs cleaning.

But do check that you have good plugs (J4C or J6C gapped at 0.030") and good sparks. Any problem with sparks then inspect coils and breakers.

You'll need the instructions for setting the idle mixture needle

New to you and not sure of its history? Check gear lube and give serious thought to changing the pump impeller.
