6hp evinrude throttle prob

Hello everyone, I just joined this site and now I need help. I recently recieved a 1969 6hp fisherman 6. It was only firing on one cylinder so I replaced points, condensors, plug cables coils and plugs. now both cylinders are fireing but if I put throttle to the start position and pull cord it drops throttle to low and the throttle handle is really stiff but it wasn't before I did work. Any guesses?

The distance between the coils and the flywheel magnets is adjustable. I believe you have them adjusted too far out(too close or rubbing against the flywheel magnets) .
