"I recently aquired a 6hp evinrude. I have found what I believe is the model# E6RESR I think it is from around the 1990's, I am trying to get a repair manual so I can get it tuned up but cannot figure out which online seloc manual i need.
If anyone could help me out with some other question it would be great, being that this is my first boat.

Is this motor a 2 or 4 stroke? And what do I need to do for a basic tune-up?

Any other tips on operating or maintaining it would be great too."

"That is a 6HP Rope start 1990. The "ES" means 1990.

You can order the Seloc Online manual here. After you receive the serial number and register you will be asked to select your year and horsepower."

"Well I rebuilt the carb, fuel

"Well I rebuilt the carb, fuel pump, and water pump. Tried to start and couldnt get anything. Finally after I adjusted the timing it was trying to start but couldnt get it to go without a little spray in the carb. I would run with about half choke but would hicup everyonce in awhile and couldnt get it to run with out the choke. Then I noticed that I made a huge mistake, Forgot my torque wrench and caused some cracks in the float bowl when i tightened it up, could this be causing my problem, I notice a very small amount of fuel coming out but I'm not sure if that is the problem."
