I am learning about my old girl and still don't know how to replace the impeller. I've bought reprints of the original manuals but I haven't figured out how to get in and out with screwing things up. I ran her last year for the first time after buying her used from a old farmer and she ran like a dream (got my old 15ft f/glass Lund trihull up on plane at approx 20-25mph with 3.5 passengers without getting hot) but I don't want to risk it without knowing how old the impeller is. So I hate to admit it, but I need help...
1/How do I do it? 2/Where do I get the correct impeller from? 3/Are there any other useful preventatives that I should take care of while I've got her apart? 4/Why don't the old OE manuals have a chapter designated for replacing the impeller? Anti-DIY?"
