I am looking for a prop shaft

I am looking for a prop shaft for my 1969 115hp evinrude and was wondering what the going rate is for a used one I talked to a guy who wanted $200 that seems a bit high to me but I dont know what somthing like that is worth I only paid $400 for the whole boat and motor runs fine I would have thought I could have got a used shaft for under $100

"Erik.... That propshaft has been unavailable since 1984 and at that time had a list price of $188.75. If it is still available as a used item, the appreciation of the part would most likely have driven up that original price of 20 years ago to about $360.00 which is approximately the price of a 1988 V/4 propshaft.

Taking into consideration that the propshaft is used but by the same token, scarce, I'd say that a figure of say $125 to $150 would be a fair asking price.

What is wrong with yours? If only bent, any machine shop can straighten that shaft to perfection.
