I'm fixing a 1968 6hp CD-25A for a friend and when I looked at the fuel pump, it has a home made gasket with an opening the same shape as the fuel pump intake hole, a smile shape. That gasket opening is much larger that the OEM gasket, which only has a small hole, see part #2 in diagram. Should I just leave it as is, or make another gasket with one hole (only one of the four holes aligns with the pump intake "smile").
