"I got my motor running this morning, I got a new control box and that seemed to do the trick. Now another issue arises, when I put it into gear, it stalls. Why?"

Problem = Idle too low, Poor compression, Spark is not proper or weak or non existent on various cylinders, Carburetors fouled.
