65hp evinrude triumph

A 60 HP with battery powered electronic ignition.--Electric shifting.-------Step #1 would be a load test on the battery.-----And how did it run for you last season ?

i have never ran the boat. the battery is new 675 cranking amps 24ms. only able to load test with the starter and a meter it drops to 9.37v at the i think its called amplifier. i tried the diode from the starter side of the solenoid to the power wire of the amplifier. it still drops to 9.37. I have 12ac volts from stator on crank up the coil ohms out good at 250 ohms and i regapped the point to 10thousands. Should i try a jump box with the battery?

No need for those to spin fast for spark.-----Spark will jump 3/8" or more turning flywheel by hand with a socket on flywheel nut.---Do you get spark out of the coil ?-----Amplifier and pulse pack are both used to refer to the black box.

Perhaps not.----Inspect the starter motor as it may be drawing too much power.--If in Canada----evinrudeparts.ca----is a source for parts.

Also ive read light bulb between ground and blue wire of pulse pack should light up. It does not light a 194 bulb. Why use bulb and not a test light or multimeter

Try starting the engine with keyswitch on and start with rope around the flywheel, you need a good battery, there is a prevision for that.

Coil test in spec and timer base. If i touch pulsepack black wire to block with key on no spark from coil. And ifyou spin motor by hand plugs out have good continuity to block with points closed through timmer base no spark i think it needs pulsepack
