You'll need to pull the carbs, would recommend rebuilding as they may not have been done in many years.Soak all metal parts overnight in carb cleaner then blast through with air to blow out any remaining bits, put it all back together.Bench test them for leaks, saves having to take them off again if they leak on fitting.
Number the carbs as you remove them so as you don't mix them up.

Very Cool info, thanx im getting ready to pull the lower unit, first i need to tilt the monster up, this boat has an electrical hydrolic pump to raise and lower, ill have to jump it, not connected IF IT WORKS. then i will have room to do such, a little nervous but i do have all the service manuals, AND parts list,
your right its addicting, cant wait to cherry this motor though slowly.: im exceeding my Paypal account!
WITH THE CARBS, IF I HAVE TO REMOVE THEM, IS THAT TRICKY? LOOKS IT, ESPECIALLY THE CHOKE ROD THAT CONNECTS ALL THREE, BUT I DO HAVE A GOOD READING SOURCE, ANY SUGGESTIONS?
CHEERS,

Thank You kimcrwbr 1, thats really cool, mine will look nice and run good i hope, don't think ill reach showroom status like that
gonna have to read about taking apart carbs that's for sure
