62 lark 40

I have a lark 40 1962...it's hard to start,doesn't want to idle and if it stays running it will only get to 1/2speed..about 10 mph...I have cleaned the carb,rebuilt the fuel pump,put new points in and adjusted to .020..I have sprk..please help..what am I overlooking?also it has autolite #353 sparkplug one has slightly more soot in it

Does the spark jump a gap of 5/16" or more, yes or no ?-------Sure sounds like it is running on one cylinder.

Do a cylinder drop test on it.

Yes on the top cylinder...no on the bottom...I just replaced the bottom coil...then have a nice blue spark on the plug...went to replac

I don't mean to sound dumb but we html is a cylinder drop test?

While engine is idling pull sparkplug wires one at a time with plastic pliers,listen for RPM drop,you have found bad cylinder. Thread #4 says u replaced coil. IS engine running now? went to replac ?????
