60hp Evinrude 1983 - How Do You Tilt?

My neighbor has a 1983 60hp Evinrude E60ELCTB, the model has no power trim & tilt. If I'm on the ground or a sandbar, I can tilt it up , however from the boat I don't see any way anyone could tilt this engine out, it is heavy, although that I could still handle, however, I would need someone to hold me down, a counterweight, so I could lift it up. There has got to be a better way. It is well lubricated and moves smoothly. Any suggestions besides buy a used power trim & tilt?

These have been around for about 40 years. Now made by Dotline. Call marineengine to see if they have them. If not, they are available on line. Google them

That Dotline model says can handle up to a 75hp. The Garelick/EEz-In versions, they have a curved (for modern engines with a curve top cowling)and a straight model like the Dotline) say maximum 40hp. The Dotline does look sturdier and spreads the weight over a bigger base.

We'll see if it can handle a 60hp.

Thanks!

Found some other reviews online on the Dotline where people are using it for 85hp, and for 125hp Merc, so my neighbors 60hp should be easy.
