"I bought a 60 mercury. I have to replace the #1 piston. I am going to replace the #1 piston and the rings in #2,#3. My question is. In the manual they list standard,.015 and .030 rings. How do I determine which rings to use?

"The rings you use will be determined by the piston you use ,its size should be stamped on it.For me while the motor is apart id replace all the pistons and rings if it is an older or high hour motor,just a thought."

Replacing reed valves is fairl

Replacing reed valves is fairly easy-----but they generally last the life of the motor-----so what is the motor doing / not doing that makes you think they are the fault????
 
The center carb is exhausting

The center carb is exhausting instead of intaking. The other ones are intaking like they are suspposed to.
 
Remove carburetor/s and the re

Remove carburetor/s and the reed plate behind it----fairly easy.
