60 hp johnson shut down

Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help me ,My 1995 60hp johnson just shut down like someone turned off the key and wont restart it has fuel and found if i leave the key in on position in about a minute time the engine will just start cranking till i shut key off i have replaced the solenoid but still does the same help me please

Replace the ignition switch.

Inspect wiring along the way too. Then check for good 7/16" spark. Hope nothing got "cooked". If it didn't restart after it died, we hope it was just the stop circuit shorting to GROUND and NOT something else.
