Hi guys i am having a issue with my 60 horse 2 stroke engine. I replace the trim relays last week and i forgot to put the tell tail hose back in the hole so it can drain out of the engin. I didnt knowtice that i forgot it until i was at the lake and i couldnt get my engin to go at full throtle it would just chug and die, same thing if i put it in neutral. When i got back to the dock thats when i knowticed that the line was inside the spraying water all over, the water was all drained out when i got it on the trailer, I got home and put the hose where it was supposed to be. Today i filled up a big tub to put the lower part of the motor in to see if the water is flowing though and now i dont have any water comeing out the tell tail. I blew some air though to see if there was a clog but it still would run water through. Could my impeller be shot? it was working fine last weekend when i was out and now i got no flow.
Another question i have is it is starting kind of hard it takes a lot to get it going then it idles rough. I bought the boat last fall so i dont know for sure what maintinance was done. The dealer i bought it from said they went though everyting to make sure it was working properly. Woud changing the spark plugs help or do i have a fuel issue, I used 87 octain with no ethanol in it as i heard that ethinol is bad for these motors. Any ideas would be great so i can get it back out on the lake again. thanks Justin
