I have a 2004 yahama 4 stroke outboard motor... when I crank it up the gas flows into the crank.I have replaced the all the carb needles and the fuel pump which shows it is pumping at 3 pounds... The carbs work fine out of the motor but as soon as I put them back in the motor on the boat and crank it, the carbs start pouring gas into the crank case. please help

Not sure how they work fine out of the motor? Anyways, by fuel flowing into the crankcase, I'm assuming you mean the area below the power head? In other words, they are overflowing? If so, the rubber tipped needles that are operated by the float are the suspect items. Once the floats rise, they close off the fuel from allowing more into the bowl. Either your needles are worn/hardened or your floats are leaking (and don't float).
