"Ineed help as to where to find a 6 gal gas can with the primer button on top of the tank, for a 1958 Johnson 35 hp Sea Horse outboard. model RDE 19C.
Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated."
 
i would go to walmart and get

i would go to walmart and get a regular boat tank and primer bulb.

is there a specific reason for the button on the tank?

"the primer button--------------------is for a pressurized tank............there are ways to get around this,a reg tank,a 12 v batt,...filter and a regulator--set to 5-7 PSI..at the carb....i haqd many of those old dawwwwgs,...but,..its usually not feasable any more........but,.can be made to wk..."

any tank,..............that has to be pressurized to wk.-is EXTREMELY old technology,trying to run NEW tech..........
failure is a sunset..........away..........
i dont trust any of the new yami press system's.after filling,ever single guy,is going to rem to tighten cap,after a 12 pack.........BS.
but,the old j/e press tank,..wk'ed well,...............FOR 1957-63,or what ever..."

sorry john not tryin to hijack your thread just tryin to learn.

jwb that sounds dangerous to put an elec fuel pump in line without some sort of kill switch that worked in time with the motor!

have you had to do this?

so theres no other alternative?
