57 Johnson Javelin 35 - Service Manual

Hi All, anyone know if there is a dedicated model service manual for the 57 Johnson Javelin 35? I am aware of the omnibus type manuals out there that cover every HP of every model for a decade. I am looking for a reference more focused to the specific model and year, perhaps a couple of different models for just a few years. Any publisher, johnson manual number, leads or links appreciated.
Thanks,
Nooge.,

Motors were so simple / similar then that shops did not need a specific manual.-----They were never printed.----So not available.

Thanks Racerone. Obviously you have experience with the material. Do you have a preferred or recommended publication? The more comprehensive the better. Mine is due for a rebuild. Torque specs, tolerances, clearances, backlash, etc, and info on jetting and or mods required for altitude. Cheers.

Clymer makes some "generic" shop manuals for that engine. As Racer points out, specific to your engine, never existed. In those days. OMC and Mercury had manuals that cover a number of models and years. At least for Mercury you can buy 1947-1965 and 1966-1974 factory manuals which covered all models and later years. I'm sure with some research, OMC may have done the same thing, start searching and prepare to open you wallet up a smidge.

I had one "red book" that went from the 1930"s to early 1960's I don't know what happened to it, I'm hoping its somewhere in my mothers house for the last 50 years!
