"Breakthrough! I found out today that I lose cylinders 1 and 2 on acceleration. Now, what does that mean? Could I have lost 2 spark plug wires? They work fine while idling? Coil? Would 1 & 2 share a coil and 3 & 4 share a seperate one? Any ideas?"

"OK, upon further inspection there are 2 coils. But cylinders 1 and 2 go to different coils. Yet 3 and 4 fire fine. Could the coil connected to 2 cylinders work for one but not the other?"

Looks like the plug wires and coil are one part (2 wires off each coil).

"Ign? Is there a oil pressure switch that could be getting activated here? I am not buff on 4S. I do Optis, but just a thought. That would set off an alarm somewhere I would think. "
 
I honestly don't know abou

I honestly don't know about the carb or the oil pressure switch. I'm not much of a mechanic and am only attempting this because the local shop already took me for $1200. I ordered two new coils today and will install them next week. If that doesn't work I'll probably have to drive a couple hours to another shop. I'll keep ya'll posted and thanks again for all the suggestions!
