50hp 87 evinrude misfire

Ok I'm stumped

I have this same motor and it starts no problem when cold. However the top cylinder continues to misfire after swapping coils. Did a leak down and compression test and all was good. Have fiddled with the adjusting screw on the carbs and no change.

Any help would be appreciated

What fuel pump is on this motor?----VRO or a simple pump on the side of top cylinder ?

???-----If you put straight gas in the tank it should have a working VRO pump.----Remember that no one here can see or hear your motor.

Ok sorry first boat still learning all the terminology. So yes I have a VRO pump and it is working properly as I am getting fuel to both carbs no problem. But the top cylinder have verified spark and compression and still getting a miss

Read carefully----Does spark jump a gap of at least 3/8" on a test device, yes or no ?----And what are the actual compression values ?

I have not tested spark jump with a tool however I can hold about an inch from the block and it reaches the block. The compression values on top cylinder is 130 and the bottom cylinder is 140
