Here's what happens:
Getting it to start is very hard, and it'll sputter and die out within a few seconds.
If I hold the throttle tab on the carbs open about 1/4 of the way, it'll rev up and stay running most of the time. Stalls a few seconds after I let go. Eventually the beeper went off, no idea what that means... Turned it off and called it good for the day.
Choke works, both manual and electric toggle.
Gear and throttle linkage is good.
Holding the throttle slightly open and throwing it in gear stalls it.
Any help would be appreciated, I'd hate to have to take it to the nearest Johnson dealer 90mi away unless it needs something major. Any kind of manual or diagnostic procedures would be helpful.
