have had many cold start issues ....certain carbs need cleaned. not my issue my issue is either a click or a wierd buzzing / humming sound when trying to engage starter or nothing at all has done this before and could always unplug the yellow plug on harness plug it back in and poof problem solved but now it wont so anything but the buzz/ humm. please help once started engine runs strong and after cold start issue starts almost instantly all day when it turns over. it died today on the lake and had to be towed 6 miles back to dock. no fun

The starter solenoid may be burned internally. Carefully jump the two large studs on top of it to see if the starter spins. If it does spin then jumper 12 vdc to the small + stud on the solenoid base...one stud is grounded...to see if the starter spins again. If it doesn't spin then replace the solenoid. If it does spin then the problem is between the key switch and the solenoid.
