502 mpi burned piston

502MPI that I blew head gasket on #2 cylinder. Rebuilt, broke in for about hour, took to 3800 rpm and think I burned piston in #2 cylinder.
502 with procharger and 8.25 to 1 pistons. 4,6,8 plugs look correct color.
Any suggestions?

Sounds familiar. Look for an Air leak on the suction side of the fuel system.

With the supercharger I am running through an electric fuel pump at about 47# at that RPM, could a suction issue still be possible?

Ayuh,.... It's no doubt detonatin' from a Lean condition,... dirty injector,..?? bad signal,..??

Twin 502's Charged in a power play. Owner kept blowing port engine. Burning holes in a piston. Found that there was a crack in the fuel water sep mount. The Charger has nothing to do with a lean condition.

47PSI is 47PSI with our without air bubbles.

Remove the fuel line from the fuel tank and the pump, plug one end and slightly pressurize it with air. Then spray it down with soapy water.
