Members , I had a nock in my starboard 502 then about 2200 RPM that day , the ,motor stopped. When we disassembled it # 1. Cyl. Blew the rist pin and the rod put a 1/8 x 3/8 pit in the cyl. I have to ideas ,
sleve it (questionable ) or because of $$$ ,I can get a remanufactured 454 short block so I can use my
own heads and all the Crusader parts and but up to the trans LH rotation. The thing is I will be 40 hp short . My boat is a 39 Mainship Ex. PS both Engines have 940 hrs. Fresh water and not run hard, not sure
how this happened ,three quarts antifreeze in the pan.

Better find out why this happened or you will be doing it again.

Faulty carburetion or fuel injection causing too lean a fuel mixture. Or faulty ignition timing causing detonation. Also overpropping or fouled bottom overloading the engine. Always make sure your engines can reach recommended wot rpm to prevent overloading.
