I need help on which way thermostat goes in volvo v8 i am told this is a small block chev. Someone took out the old one for me when it was running hot. I put in new water p/u inpeller and new thermostat but not sure if i have thermostat in right. The engine runs cool does not heat up on gauge and checked the gauge off of the other engine and is fine. Sorry for the long post this is my first. Jim
