"I have really enjoyed reading from halarious beginner to advanced professionals. I have a small problem. I just aquired an Evinrude 50 hp sizzler, 1974,model-50443n. My moter is mounted on the boat. The bottom motor mount appears to be a pin\bar that is horizontal. That one is fine. The top motor mount has about 1 inch of play in it. Maybe slightly less. There is a bar running down through the mount. Is this amount of play normal? If there supposed to be no play,,whats the harm if i leave it? It runs fine does not shake rattle or roll. I ordered a manual yesterday. That may be the shifting bar going down the middle of the mount. It looks like a lot of trouble for such a small problem. (where have ya heard that before?) Runs well,spittin water,got gear lube yesterday,fuel stabelizer,enthusiam. Thanks a million for the
