Motor will run at idle. Used carb cleaner one can on each. Installed new fuel pumps and needle valves. Motor still won't run above idle without bogging down and dieng
 
Carbs have to be disassembled and soaked to be properly cleaned. But first try opening the idle mixture screws another 1/2 turn OUT (CCW).

Well took it to the lake. Started great. Ran at full throttle without diyin but would not pick up speed. Had a lightning strike within 50' of boat last year. Man said it could have fried something. A 30 tr mechanic. Don't know if it has anything to do with it. Motor did die in the water now it won't even hit. Gonna check and see if it is still firing or not
 
does it have a distributor?you didnt say year etc...if it has one there is a grease fitting on the mount..it must be free to advance the timing..
