50 hp Merc Year and model question

"Just bought this from a friend of the family, (Divorce situation)and it came with no information. It says mercury 50 hp, is a oil injected, 3 cylinder, and the Serial# is 0G136914. Looking to get information on what it is and if possible an owners or service manual for it. Can you help?"

"You have a 1995 model - still practically brand new as far as outboards go.

A number of aftermarket manuals are available (you can check on this site - over on the right hand side of the webpage) or you could pick up a service manual from Merc.

There are advantages to both, the service manual will cost about double a maintenance manual (which is usually about 35 bucks)."
