50 hp Johnson with no fire

Not run for 2 years. Last time out was running at ½ power. 2 times before that i had to replace spark plugs to start. A marine mechanic I am not but I am a hvac tech and love a challenge. I thought I would just rebuild the ignition system and solve all problems. I have replaced the stator – no fire, power pack – no fire, coil – no fire. At this point I took it to a mechanic and he replaced the trigger but still no fire and he has no idea.
I did disconnect the kill circuit at the power pack and the rectifier trying to get fire with no luck. I changed the parts in the order listed. Is it possible that I have damaged the power pack trying to start the motor whit a bad trigger? I’m lost at this point…and broke.
Thanks for any advice.

I checked the stator with a fieldpiece hs33 multimeter. While trying to start the motor I get 6 volts on the yellow wires and 3 amps on the orange wires. Is this normal? I’m now thinking the new power pack is bad.
Any idea will be greatly appreciated.

Is yur battery strong enough to spin that engine 250/300 RPMS; if not it likely will never fire. Battery connections clean and shiny brght at both ends? Solenoid connections cleaned and bright? Good luck

I'm trying now to find out what started this problem in the first place. I tested for voltage on the black/yellow kill wire at the power pack, thinking if the switch was bad (sense all other switches on the panel were corroded) I could get voltage through the kill wire. I got a reading of 20 vdc with the wire connected. When I disconnected the wire and tested from the switch only I got 2 mvdc. Is this enough to kill the new power pack?
