50 hp 4 stroke carbs

Hoping someone can explain to me how the enrichment/choke system works on these motors. it has 2 solenoids that operate the choke. when should they be energized and by what ? also how does the accelerator pump work. trying to understand whats going on before i tear the carbs apart

one of the "solenoids" is the thermoelectric plunger. i have a basic understanding of what it does :there is a wax capsule behind the plunger . when it is energized , a heating element heats and expands the capsule thus pushing the plunger outward. i assume this restricts the amount of movement of the other solenoid.does this sound right ???
