50 HP 2 stroke Gas Leak

I have 2002 50 HP 2 stroke outboard that is leaking gas. Noticed gas on water. Some friends said it was too much oil in gas mixture. I added gas and it ran great. I have it out of the water now and was winterizing the engine. I tilted the motor and about 6 OZ of fluid ran out of engine compartment. I thought it was water, but it was gas. I cannot see a leak. Where should I look and how do I go about trouble shooting the problem.

Check each fuel hose and connection for a leak. The fuel pump may have a leaking gasket that is visible only with the engine running.
