"I just recently purchased a used boat with the Volvo 5.0 GXi E engine. The problem occurs when starting the boat when cold. For the first 3 to 4 minutes I have to keep the throttle up around 2200 RPM or the engine will die. During this time I have to adjust the throttle up and down to keep the engine running. After this period, the engine runs fine. I do know that the engine was replaced last year as it was not winterized. Any ideas?"
