"I just purchased a boat with the 5.0Gi Volvo Penta. The boat runs great at most speeds. I am noticing a slight "surge" in the RPM's at a slow idle speed. If I am going through a no-wake area and only have it in gear (600 RPM's) it idles great. When I increase to about 850-900 RPM's, the engine will surge to about 1100 RPM's and then back down to 900, and then it will keep doing that if I leave the throttle in that position. There may be a slight hesitation when I hit the throttle, but otherwise the engine runs great at all the other speeeds/RPM's. I just ran a tank through it with a couple cans of Sea Foam and just changed out the Spark Plugs and it seems to have gotten a little bit better, but still a problem. I am not very mechanically inclined, so I need some help!!! Thank you."
