I took off the gear case bearing retainer to change a seal on my 1991 5HP Mariner. After assembling it the engine doesn't shift properly and it appears to be the clutch dog not moving far enough. Both Forward and Neutral on the shift lever engage the forward gear. Reverse on the shift lever seems to be neutral in the gear case. Can't engage reverse at all. The clutch dog spring retainer seems to be in place and everything else looks normal. What have I missed???
